CES 2026 is peaking: a stair-climbing robot vacuum
CES 2026 has been a reminder that the most interesting “innovation” isn’t always another chatbot bolted onto a gadget.
One of the standout products this year is a robot vacuum designed to climb stairs—a feature that (if it works reliably) could finally make multi-floor cleaning less of a compromise. On the opposite end of the spectrum, CES also delivered pure “why does this exist (but I kind of want it)?” energy: smart press-on nails that can switch between 400+ shades in about five seconds.
And the fun twist: one of the big “Best in Show” moments went to a LEGO Smart Brick concept positioned as an AI-free idea—a nice counterpoint to the everything-must-be-AI trend.
